I just switched from Cubase. In Cubase, you can click on a part (a clip) and be taken directly to a waveform editor where you can select regions of the waveform and apply processing to the selected area. You can use this to do thinks like remove a click or a pop from a track. Is there anything like this in Tracktion?

For modane tasks such as trimming start & end or adjusting the volume you can use the Properties panel of an audio clip. There also should be a button "Edit Audio File" which brings up a menu including "Edit Using" which allows you to open the WAV with a dedicated audio editor of your own choice.

Really, this is all described in the manual. I suggest you skim through it from cover to cover once.

I'd love to skim the manual, but my T6 installation didn't include one. I couldn't find it on the Tracktion site either, nor could I find it with Google. All I could find was a book published by a 3rd party that costs $12. If there's an actual T6 manual, I've very much appreciate a link.

See http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=432885 (posted in the relevant Tracktion sub-forum, you're now in the Getting Started section of KVR Audio which is not specific to Tracktion but for getting started with music production in general)

Seems like apart from that $12 book (which is not that expensive to be honoust for software that's not that expensive as well) there's not that much specific to version 6. But I'd start with reading the manual for version 4:

and assume the basic concepts you need first haven't changed that much since ;-)

Tracktion 6 has some basic audio editing functionality on the Projects tab (Edit Audio File):

Trim Silence
Normalise
Make Mono
Change Sample Rate
Reverse

In a project all you can do is split files and automate, apply effects, merge etc. If you want to directly edit the waveforms then download Audacity (or any other audio editor) and hook it up with Tracktion's 'Set the audio editor to use...'
