Hey guys,

Pretty new here, but I've moved overseas and have been looking for some Jazz charts to work out some arrangements, (good for the head), I went to my local shop and they said look online. Any Suggestions?

Welcome, Steve!

It used to be called "The Real Book" and I had no trouble finding a legal publication at Amazon.

IME as a freelance bassist for 30+ years, the Hal Leonard/Chuck Sher "Real" books are best seen as an augmentation to the real illegal Real Books from Boston, not a replacement. Less of an issue in the PDF/iPad/Internet age, of course. The originals have their quirks (especially chord changes!) but those have become the defaults, especially for old-timers. Also IMO the originals have way more interesting pop/rock song choices (Zappa's "Peaches en Regalia", Mahavishnu's "A Lotus on Irish Streams", Stevie Wonder's "Golden Lady" and "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", etc.)

Of course, this is just my observations as a working musician...I don't want to promote copyright infringement here on KVR. :phones:

BIAB then pick up the collection of Songs without melodies in BIAB format from the yahoo users group.

Technically it's not infringement if the melody is not present
