I have Studio One Pro v2 installed, bought the upgrade to v3 at the intro price, but never installed it for various reasons.
Is there anything I should know or do in advance to make moving to v3 go more smoothly? I'm not talking about differences between the programs, I can suss that out myself, and learn from tutorials and other posts here.
I'm talking about the actual install itself -- ways I should configure it as I install, options I should and shouldn't enable, gotchas with the install, that sort of thing.
I assume this isn't actually n upgrade, it leaves v2 alone and installs v3 as a separate app, right?
There's also a lot of content. Is some or all of it the same as in v2, such that I don't need to duplicate those files on my increasingly full disk? Gut feeling is that I should do the straightforward thing and not try to optimize like that, live with any dupes instead of possibly breaking things.

I did the demoupgrade once.
It was as smooth as it could be.
It asks you a few things while installing it.
You even don´t need to deinstall your v2.
It even wants to copy all your v2 preferencys, folders and so on.
So the only change you will recognice when starting it the first time is, that it is Studio One v3 now.
All the rest is what it was bevore.
And it is greate, I would like to have it also, but .....later:)
So fare what I can say about it:)

It also gives you the option of downloading content you already have (instruments, etc), but lets you know if you already have it installed so you can skip those items.
I had absolutely no problems going from V2 Producer to V3 Pro.

The upgrade for me was completely painless. All of my settings and plugins from V2 were preserved. Thanks to all for your thoughts.
Just did the upgrade this morning, smooth and quick. Only odd thing was that I had already download most or all of the extra content, but when I told the installer to get it from my local drive, it still downloaded the few pieces I installed instead. Oh well, still pretty quick.

Need to learn what I can and can't customize. As of now, the plugin window border is almost the same color as the control strip at the top, makes it less clear where that edge is and what's what. Not critical, and maybe something I can change we'll see.
