Must admit, Studio One 3 with melodyne 4 is very good indeed.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yep, S1 is not so bad, even with his poor piano roll... :)

I love Studio One, but this award means little to me. I'm downloading Melodyne 4 right now though ;) What is new? I haven't used Melodyne that much myself to date.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

What's new in Melodyne 4

It's especially worth watching the video on the Sound Editor. And even Melodyne Assistant users can benefit from watching the First Steps videos. Although it's likely to make anybody want to upgrade to Studio.

An award given by Retailers, so basically the software with the biggest mark up hahahaha
Fun aside, Studio One could be a great piece of software, it has what i personally think are some very basic ommisions and in reality is a bit of a pig on OSX, not selling it on just yet, but it is not top of my heap either.

The harmonic stuff is probably the biggest thing. It should be pretty attractive to the sound design demographic. I think the special pricing to get to Studio runs until April or something, then it will get jacked up to the normal uprgrade or sales price again I guess.

I have Studio now and I could swear that my previous Editor version allowed installing it on two different computers, but Studio 4 doesn't appear to. I may have to put it on my iLok.

Think with the release V3 they deserve a lot of credit. :tu:
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Studio One 3 sounds better than most other DAWs.

...runs for cover as flame war ensues.

No.

The summing in 2.6 sounds more analog

49 pages finished with a lock will decide this once and for all. :hihi:

I had Editor 2 on both a main computer and a backup computer, under 1 license. Just updated both to Studio 4, without a problem,--again under 1 license. Did not need to put the license on i-lock.

EDIT: Oops, spoke too soon. Now I'm having an authorization problem on the second computer. Melodyne keeps asking me to authorize, even though they are showing it is authorized on the second computer--and only Melodyne Player showing. Support ticket in.

Yet several developers here have said in the past that the osx versions of their plugs make up almost 50% of their sales. Go figure...

This award doesn't really mean a lot. On the one hand, the "Studio One Expert" closely co-operates with Presonus, his company is more or less a subsidiary of Presonus. Even if the award was granted by two other institutions (unknown to me), the "Expert" pushes and hypes Studio One wherever he can.

On the other hand, statements like the following one are pure exaggerations, if not even fakes:

"The Studio One Professional juggernaut seems unstoppable as more and more people switch to Studio One Professional as their DAW of choice."

If this were true, I wonder why licenses of S1 V3 are continuously being sold via the Market Place lately? There's a new license up for sale every other day...

It seems to me that lots of people were either blinded by the enormous hype for S1, or are disappointed by feature requests not being fulfilled, or have realized that this DAW is not as overwhelming as Presonus and their followers keep claiming.
