Solina V (vst3) crashes Sonar X3

The standalone works fine, but when I try to load it up in Sonar X3, it crashes. I renamed the vst3 to vstX, and so now Sonar loads the vst2, and it works that way. Normally it won't see that version unless I rename the vst3 version.
Has anyone else run into this?

I'm running Lexington here (21.11.00.25), 64-bit. No problem loading the vst3 version, playing it, saving the piece and loading it.
To be sure I had the vst3 I used Sonar's "Default All Plug-ins" plug-in layout. At the top level it has folders for VST3, VST2, and DirectX. I thought X3 had that layout too, or am I mis-remembering?

I checked that, and that is how mine was setup too. I think Cakewalk has a problem with supporting anything after a new version comes out, as mine is X3.Meffy wrote:I'm running Lexington here (21.11.00.25), 64-bit. No problem loading the vst3 version, playing it, saving the piece and loading it.

Just the same you should check Cakewalk's own forums. They were still pretty busy last time I looked, and lots of participants use X3 or older versions still.
Sorry I couldn't be of help. Hope you get it sorted.

Hi Guys,
Since latest update of Sonar X3 our vst3 are not compatible with Sonar.
We are trying to solve this issue with Sonar team.
It seems that there's no problems at all with VST2 version.
Please use VST2 with latest version of Sonar.
