Is there a big difference between paid sample packs and free sample packs?

I'm searching around for some trap beat sample packs (808s, etc), and a lot of free stuff pops up and not so much paid packs. If I want my beats to be really high quality, should I purchase samples packs or are there really good free packs? Can someone tell me the difference and point me to a couple paid and a couple free that demonstrate the difference?

I don't think there's much difference. If you want very high quality, I suggest http://www.loopmasters.com/
But for 808 trap beat, any 808 emulation would do the trick. You can always check BusyWorkBeats YouTube channel for trap beat tutorial, he's really good at teaching music production.
