For those of us that remember the 70's - I have particularly fond memories of The Old Grey Whistle Test which I started watching around 1972. One thing that stood out for me was that when they couldn't get a live band in the show they would make these really cool and often pioneering recorded or sometimes animated music videos, this was years before MTV and even before Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, both of which are often credited with kicking off music video (as I recall there were also music videos on TOTP before Queen too, although not with the same level of slickness).
Trying to track them down though is hard, apart from a really poor copy of the groundbreaking animation they did for Zappa's City of Tiny Lights I can't find any of the others:
I remember going out and buying Trick of the Tail after watching a lovely video they did for Entangled when TotT came out, same for The Chain from Rumours. Anyone remember or got a link to any others?

OK, but they still did make some great music videos of their own.

I've got a three DVD set if OGWT but I haven't played it in a while so not sure if it has any of those (I seem to remember that Zappa one though), but worth buying anyway.
One thing that was great about it was that they were the last show on BBC2 and the pre tight schedule days we have now, if a live band overran they just carried on broadcasting as the only thing following them was the national anthem and the test card.
