Recording Ableton's Looper in Arrangement View

First time posting, so please tell me if there's a better place to post this..

I've been live looping on a Boss RC-50 for a while now, but finally made the switch to Ableton as it opens up so many possibilities.

I use a Behringer FCB1010 to control 5 Loopers on five different tracks, where the Multi-Purpose Transport buttons of all 5 Loopers are mapped to a single button on the FCB1010 so that all tracks' loops are always synced. (I feel restricted having to adhere to a metronome when live-looping )

This setup works great for performing, but when trying to record my whole performance in the Arrangement View, I start running into some problems. The clips and automations are recorded onto the Arrangement View, but they are all lagging by a certain amount. So upon playback, the first loop is recorded, the second lags by about half a beat, then the next one lags and the next and....etc. until it all sounds like an out-of-sync-mess!

Is this a track latency issue? The result is the same with Delay Compensation turned on or off..

Any help is much appreciated!

Have you tried turning the warping off on all clips in the arrangement view?

Yeah, I've tried that and setting the global tempo to try and match the loop tempo. Really annoying/difficult to try to match each clip to this as it needs precision in the order of ms..

I think I've found a solution though. It all seems to stem from the way that Ableton records tracks when they are software monitored. The post below seems to describe this.

So I'm just going to try duplicating every track, one monitored and one not, then arm and record both tracks. In theory, the non-monitored clips and automations should be recorded as close to my playing as possible.

Will update when I give it a go later on
