On my iPad Air, I haven't switched to iOS9 yet.
But now, with more and more apps for Audio Units becoming available, I will like to do it soon.
BUT THE BIG QUESTION FOR ME: Will Alchemy Mobile run on iOS9? It has become my number one idea generator...

Its been a while, but I connected my ipad to my laptop via usb and restored the desktop libraries that had ipad versions ( not all do). ITunes was not involved.

To restore the libraries, you need to have backups of your original libraries. You had to use either something like iFunbox or I think Camel Audio may have also added the mobile libraries to your online account so users could download and backup from there. You can also use any desktop libraries you may have.
If you have the .camelsounds files, you can use iTunes to transfer the data to your iPad using iTunes sharing. Then, in Alchemy Mobile, go to the menu for "Add Custom Sound" to add the sounds.

I took the risk an installed iOS 10 today.
I haven't done real tests, but I started Alchemy Mobile and I had no problems playing recorded projects and playing on the touch screen keyboard. I did not try it with IAA though, just stand alone.
I love this synth sooooo much. The only reason I risked the update to iOS 10 is that now that I bought a Mac and Logic Pro X, I wanted to get Logic Remote which could not be installed on iOS8.x

I hope Apple will port its Logic Pro X synths to iOS. Virsyn Cube and Poseidon are the closest things to Alchemy

Thanks telebunke for the information. I'm still on iOS 7 specifically because of Alchemy. I can easily grab sound edits I've saved and projects. Though in reality, I haven't used it for quite some time as I use the old Alchemy Desktop for Windows. So I've been contemplating moving to iOS 10.

They are totally different synths. I would rather say Mitosynth is closer to Alchemy (and Omnisphere) in the iOS world.Korg Supporter wrote:I hope Apple will port its Logic Pro X synths to iOS. Virsyn Cube and Poseidon are the closest things to Alchemy
A Sculpture synth (my favourite from the Logic instruments) on a touch screen could be great....it´s such a unique synth for me (maybe the most unique synth ever). It´s old but gold!

anyone a user of the current Alchemy version? As I have just switched from PC/Cubase to Mac and Logic I was hoping to find my favorite patches.
On Alchemy mobile there is one of my all time favorites called "Deep Purple" which I haven't found in the current Logic version.
If anyone has found it under a different name, please let me know.
