How to play several layers simultaneously in FL 12

I have sound samples of each note of various instruments. For example, I took 13 samples of a violin playing C4, C#, D, D#, E, F... up to C5, and another 13 samples of a trumpet playing C4, C#, D, D#, E, F... up to C5 (so 26 samples in total). I have grouped these sound samples into 2 Fruity Layers so that the appropriate pitch will sound when I play a note on a MIDI controller.

QUESTION: How can I get both the violin and trumpet to sound together if I play one note, while maintaining the flexibility to quickly change which instrument(s) plays? In other words, I want to be able to quickly choose whether it's just the violin playing, or just trumpet, or both of them playing together.

THANK YOU!!!

I don't know fruity stuff, but the typical way to accomplish that is with a crossfade. See if there is a way to crossfade groups. Middle would be both, up would be one, down would be the other.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer
