This is a good collection of sounds. I like the bass sample. It's got a "rounded" full sound which adds a great bottom-end to the track. The pads, organ and piano all contribute to a full, rich atmosphere. The syndrums certainly give this song a late '70s or early '80s vibe.

Good work :)

I enjoyed the composition and sound design. It kept me engaged for multiple listens. :phones:

With respect to the mix, I thought the reverb was a bit much. I would have mixed the bass louder and the electro-toms quieter but that's just me.

Good job overall. :tu:

Cool dynamics man. Liking the drums and the general groove.
Had images of the highway in matrix 2 after the battle :D

Good stuff! Your track is mellow but it also has a driving intensity that provides some additional complexity to the feeling that I get from it. And I think it fits the title and photo you chose really well. Thanks for sharing!

hi Tim, thanks for tuning in

I was watching youtube the other day of Moog mother demos. the demo guy held down a good solid C2 note and i stream recorded it. you probably know i almost never use a sampled based analog bass sound in my songs. but this was yet another experiment in sound. my pads are always drenched in reverb, which is what makes them sound that "rich" in atmosphere. hey, if big shots like yanni and hans zimmer can do it so can i, damn it! :x

thanks again

I absolutely hate toms. Unless im watching the Miami Vice intro. ;)
But this was a great listen. Absolutely loved the mix.
Was hoping for vocals to kick in. :)

Good work!

Pleasant music. Nice soundtrack for the road trip. I can imagine the engine running and tires hum.
Landscape changes and the journey is progressing steadily

thanks for the feedback, Frantz
i actually put some real time into the structure on this one, hah

i hate to say i'm a struggling reverb addict still trying to wean myself off the stuff.
i actually went lower volume on the bass thinking about another comment you made about the bass being too loud on another one of my songs! yeah... you do influence my friend! and the toms... well i miss the 80's!

I thought that might be the case. The comment was specific to that track and not a general comment on your mixes.

One of the disadvantages of mixing on headphones is that they usually don't reflect bass accurately.
