My Sony PCM-50 digital recorder keeps auto shutting off when I leave it for a time, can't figure out why. But when I push a button it will turn on again. Any ideas? Thanks

Have you checked what it says about it in the manual?

Yes but no luck...

I see a reference to a 10-minute shutdown into powersaving mode if left in REC mode? That sound right?

Thanks I see that note on pg 25 there? But what I have found is that it will sometimes go into auto power save while actually recording, and I have not been able to figure out what is going on, so perhaps a technical issue...

If its doing it while its supposed to be recording, I'd definitely think there's a problem. Contact Sony tech support, I'd say.
