Hi,
I sent a message about that at support@esoundz.com several days ago, but have had no reply, so i'll take my chance here...
I'd like to know :
- if the pre-order price will remain untill we have some mp3 demos of these electric guitars, to let us be aware of what we purchase,
- what is the average size of each guitar with all its own articulations,
- if the guitars are processed or not,
- what the release date is supposed to be.
Thanks in advance for those informations.
Would like some info about El Guitars capsule

No reply at all? Hmm
I'd like to know :
- if the pre-order price will remain untill we have some mp3 demos of these electric guitars, to let us be aware of what we purchase,
Not sure I understand exactly what you're saying but we are working on mp3 demos to go up next week.
- what is the average size of each guitar with all its own articulations
The average size is about 30 megs. Some are over 60 megs and some are less than 20 megs. It depends. If it is just mutes then it's smaller if it is picked notes multidynamic then it can be a lot bigger. In SampleTank 2 format the Electric Guitar Capsule is just over 1 gigabyte in size when it expands out from the UFO. Not bad for less than a hundred bucks.
- if the guitars are processed or not,
The only processing at the sample level is if it was run through an amp or not. Most are direct though because ST2 LE has most of AmpliTube (amp modeling) and a ton of stomp style effects inside of it. So, for the presets you see on line right now on www.esoundz.com there are actually about 5 extra presets for ST2 only that have realtime processing added as well with things like wah wahs, delays, amps, tremolo etc. It's awesome!
- what the release date is supposed to be.
Well, it is done but we are tweaking the UFO right now. Then there is the packaging to complete so we're looking at having them shipping around the third week of this month but no later than the end of June.

To clear this up, I suppose that the $79 price on the site is only a time-limited offer for pre-orders, right ?
So I just meant I'd like to have the opportunity to listen to the demo before I place my order... and before the price goes up to $99 !
----
Now, regarding the size, I assume that if in ST2 format it is almost one Gb, it will be roughly the same in Halion, wont'it ? (that's my format...)
----
And last : it seems on your site that international shipping is not possible via regular mail (such as global priority, which is a good price/speed compromise), but only via UPS or Fedex.
Going UPS (usually at least $20 shipping cost) for a $79 purchase seems to me not a very good deal, and furthermore it gives far more -bad- chances for the package to be spotted , and taxed, by hungry custom officers....
So is it possible to arrange via mail with your sales department a postal shipping ?
Or, who are your distributors in France ?
Thanks again for those new replies.

SQ: esoundz members automatically get some kind of discount just when they login and anyone who has bought from esoundz before will still be able to get that price. But, otherwise, it is a pre-order discount for now... like it's on sale.

SQ: Probably. We'll do our best. We want you to be able to hear how good it sounds. It just takes time. We'll work on getting that up this week though.

SQ: Not necessarily. It all depends on how the programming is done and the sample re-referencing features. To do certain things in SampleTank 2 like fusing together multiple dynamics separately from single dynamic versions it makes a discrete set of samples embedded into it's monolithic sample file format. HALion on the other hand can just point to the same AIFFS again for single or multidynamic patches. The HALion version output is usually going to be less than 600 megs. But, it all depends on what's going on with that particular title.

SQ: We don't discuss those details here. You can email esoundz support specifically with questions about shipping etc. If you manage to order $199 though your international shipping is free though. Anyway, esoundz can ship it to you via Global Priority and it costs about $12-15 usually. You can talk to dan@esoundz.com and he'll take care of it with you.
