You can only load one sample, but there are 2 envelopes (triggered by different MIDI notes), one for closed and one for open hats.realmarco wrote:Dunno if it already has it but
the plugin should have 3 sample/synthesis slots
one for closed hat
one for half-closed
and one for Open-hat... having a step seq would Make sense

hmm well thats disapointing
an open 909 Hihat sample sounds completely different
than a closed one.
at least 2 samples slots are the way to go! 3 if u want an acoustic Hihat
So far i'm not gonna buy this, i'll stick with Handclapper with a Hi-Hat sample
the FX on "Hats" make more sense on a clap or a Snare sound than on a Hi-Hat

Just wanted to say that I love the GUI. Also agree that multiple sample slots would be great.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll think of a way to add two samples for the next update.MRT wrote:Just wanted to say that I love the GUI. Also agree that multiple sample slots would be great.

+1 for at least two independent sections (closed + open) - an open hihat with a snappy short envelope doesn´t sound anything like a closed hihat, regardless of it being an acoustic or electronic hh.audiothing wrote:realmarco wrote:hmm well thats disapointing

What I´d love to see would be two full copies of the upper (grey) section, one for the closed, one for the open hat - both sounds through one effects section will do fine, imho. Voila: Instant purchase

Yep, we are working on it although having two copies of the upper section might be quite complex to manage.epiphaneia wrote:+1 for at least two independent sections (closed + open) - an open hihat with a snappy short envelope doesn´t sound anything like a closed hihat, regardless of it being an acoustic or electronic hh.

Why not just open two instances instead of requesting a complete redesign?
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Because:Mushy Mushy wrote:Why not just open two instances instead of requesting a complete redesign?
a) it would defeat the purpose of having a /simple/ one stop solution for hihats (one would always have to set the effects of both instances to exactly the same values manually, etc);
b) because it would be rather difficult to implement things like a "closed hat mutes open hihat" function via two completely different instruments.

I agree it should have at least two sample slots, but I don't think it should have two identical top sections. Most of the analog drum machines I used have only one noise section and two envelopes for the closed/open sounds. But I guess that for samples it's a different story.
Anyway, the update should be ready in a week or so

New features:You can now load two samples, one for the short envelope (closed), one for the long envelope (open). Or you can choose to use just one sample for both (as it was before) with the 1+2 option.

It looks like you got an old version (maybe a cached version). Check in the About section if you have v1.1.0.realmarco wrote:where ?
You can get the latest installers here: https://www.audiothing.net/updates/ (or if you bought it this week you can re-download it from the links you got in your confirmation email)
Let me know how it goes.

A quick Feature Request for Hats, which I purchased recently and Latin Percussion (which I would consider purchasing if this request was added ...
Would you consider adding multiple outs to these?
So in Hats the user would be able to route the 'closed' and 'open' to different outputs in one's DAW of choice? (Yes, it's possible to use two instances, but a lot of the time the user might want the same parameters to be tweaked for both whilst adding different 'DAW' effects to each). For Latin Percussion, and several different sounds multiple outs would be even handier (I'd say essential?)
