For all the bitching I do about company "a" or whatever, it is so COOL to hear these things for reference! It's "the" part. Not some f**king copy, sure, they mixed the bus a bit different for the master, but it's THE PART!
The only thing is sometimes it's not the isolated track/s and it's a hack (even though that's cool too) and sometimes it get's weird. Sometimes you hear the "kick" on the left or they end up making it "mono" which is slightly annoying (in a really anal way) because I want to hear verb/rooms, etc.
Here's "Tom Sawyer"
I can't remember if this the record he recorded out on the lake, but there seems to be no "room" mics and a shitload of verb added......am I wrong?
Here's the song........
These are GHASTLY fun to play to if you play bass or guitar! I can do this one. Sometimes I'm too f**king lazy to tune proper for other songs but this is standard tuning.
