Giving this a bump since Kurzweil is being bought out. You never know if sites like this will remain up afterward. 200 megs of samples here. Thanks for the link Krim.

I'm curious where you came about this information. Can you shed some more light on some of the details? I heard a few months back that Kurzweil moved from their Washington home and are now sharing a facility with Samick, but that's it.
I'm a Kurzweil tech and can't seem to get any information from our rep. Getting parts from Kurzweil has always been a pain, but lately its gotten much worse. Ordering a daughterboard, audio board, or any other kind of board will typically take 4-5 months.

The Keybaord Mag forum has been buzzing about this for a while. Here are two links.

Hi Chris_b,
I can't open them right now in Orion (it's on another PC), but on my laptop with Awave I see anything is there, can listen to the sounds, so we should be able to open those files in Orion. Err, this is not much of a help
.
My problem is that those files, as often, are much tooooo much for my dial-up. And I can't get fast internet right now. Sometimes I wonder if those people who allow their fine samples to be downloaded would have something against that people would give the samples to others via CD-R (nudge, nudge, no German Orion-users here
). I'd gladly pay for a CD-R to avoid such a stupid downloading over an hour and then getting 10% corrupted files and all in all not really much
. But thanks VERY much for the link, I'll download them during the next weeks anyway
.

Just did a quick check. Basically the samples will play ... some didn't, but may be they are limited to certain key zones. We'll see ...
BTW ... there are German ORION users ...

Tommy

Thanks for the link -- 94% downloaded now, looks promising.
What other sampler than Orion's -- if any -- can load Kurzweil files?

When I was younger I used to be in doubt. These days I'm not so sure.

The ones I know of (but not tested) are Mach 5, Vsampler, and the sampler in Project 5.
