Disting (3.3) Pitch & Envelope Tracker, noise

Hello
The pitch and envelope tracker is tracking well but I'm getting lots of high pitched squealing (seems like noise driving the pitch tracking) when no signal is present
As input I have an electric guitar but I have also tried with a pure sine wave from a tone generator
The CV is going to a Moog Sub 37 (pitch CV in)
I'm simply latching the amplitude envelope for now rather than using the envelope out
I'm using a uZeus power supply
Thanks
Jim

You need to use the envelope out.

>> Presumably envelope out goes to Vol CV?
Presumably.
>> What do I do with KB Gate?
Nothing. Put the synth in 'drone' mode if possible i.e. remove the need for a trigger/gate.

Yeah so tried all that and it's still skitzing out ...
In fact with nothing plugged in at all, the LED collar on the V/oct out jack is going crazy. Envelope is barely responsive even with a very hot signal ...
Is it a novelty feature the pitch tracker or should I expect it to work properly?

It should work properly, with the right inputs. The envelope in particular should be trouble free. Are you sure you have the right bank/algorithm selected?

Sorry! Read that back. Totally didn't mean it to sound like it did!
I meant, how fully realised is it I guess. I dunno, anyway
So I did the following
Pure sine wave from a tone generator app on iPhone
V/oct out to Pitch CV of Sub 37
Mono jack plugged in to KB Gate of Sub 37 (and nothing else, latches the VCA)
And ... tracks very nicely
So, guitar input despite being v hot (going through MXR compressor) just too messy I guess. I'll try putting it through a BPF first
Also what I noticed with the iPhone app, as I reduced the gain I got the kind of craziness I was getting with the guitar signal which would suggest that the signal is indeed too weak
