Here's anouther one of my songs... kinda like the last song I did, except a lil heavier.. but not quite... anyways... It's kinda an alternative pop type song... the typical stuff I do.. I think I may eventually add a bridge in it besides the break that's in it now... but I'm not sure... I like it the way it is at the moment so.. thought I'd upload it... because I haven't had anything up for 2 months or so... but I'm still worken on stuff all the time :D :D

Hope You all enjoy...

It's Called "Stumble Through This Life"

Quality as ever. :D

Nice clean production. One thing I would do though is have a lot more dynamic change between the verse and chorus. Don't be afraid of making the verses a lot quieter, so it isn't even touching the 0db level on the limiter! :-o :D At the moment this actually sounds to me as if its going down in volume when the distorted guitar comes in (It isnt, but thats way it sounds..)

thanx DT.. :D

I'm hearing the db level of the verse vox now... def going to turn it down a lil bit there... I thought it was a lil loud myself before I uploaded it... but.. being a bum, I left it there... heh...

thanx for the listen :D

sounds good to me ... I played it a second time through the stereo in the other room

I never had good ears to catch lyrics, because I get carried away by the music I suppose, but something to consider is to have at least the most important lines stand out, unless there is a tradition of submerged lyrics

the part about "how would we turn out without this time and without this space" is what makes me want to know the rest of the lyrics

so I hope you do post the lyrics

but it does sound good to me :)

Lyrics are the following:

Verse #1
Hello Hello, I said at the day when
Everyone took a look where they had been
and Everytime we never did look back to the day that we always said trust me

Hello Hello, I screamed when I saw you
You never did see me but I thought I knew
That you were alive and well, but you were lost in tim, lost in space

Chorus
All the time I stumble throught this life
(Na na na)
They push and pull me, but I won't break in two
(I won't break in two)

Verse #2
Hello Hello, I said in my head when
I looked at times past, and I thought of you
and everytime I never did look back to the day that you never said follow me

Hello Hello, I screamed when I saw you
You finally did see me and I thought I knew
How whould we turn out, without this time, and without this space

As usual you come with quite the intriguing tune. This time accompanied by some great lyrics as well. Sounding good allready, although I personally feel a tighter snare may aid in balancing the song a bit more. Other then that, I can only say; looking forward to the next upgrade

Great work, GC :)
On my second listen - really enjoying this one :D

Thanx, gald your liken it... I already mixed the vocal down a little bit, I might upload that somtime today... but other than that haven't had a chance to work on it yet... on the snare sound you were saying mayb a tighter snare would help... different sample? or eq it mayb with a little more high end?

scuzzphut...

hopefully I'll work on this one some more l8r tonight and have anouther mix of it up... I'm wanting to add a bridge to it, but I just can't get somthing at the moment that fits right... taken a break with some friends today.. mayb that'll get some creative juice flowen when I get back ;)

This is one of my most favorite things I've ever heard on K-v-R!

As far as a critique: In some places in the chorus, things get a little jumbled with the vocals. During the "na na na" line, there seems to be a little too much conflict between it and the main vocal. Oddly enough, it doesn't bug me later in the song as much as it does closer to the beginning. For the earlier instances of the chorus, you might even consider dropping the "na na na" from the mix, and save it for the "big ending", or something like that.

If you do another version, please post a link to it.

Right now, I really must be going. I simply have to play this again. :D

later,
McLilith
