DDMF Metaplugin and Bluecat PatchWork are solid VST to AU wrappers. I've used PG-8X inside Metaplugin.

Good to know! Thanks!

I'm suspicious of DDMF Metaplugin, bad experience there. Bluecat sounds promising.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

AFAIK that VSTAU Manager app is 32 bit only, probably why nothing's showing in Garageband.

This older discontinued version works for me in GB and Logic (2016-04-02), of course it's not supported and YMMV, but if you want to give it a try.

I have noticed some new versions of PG-8X on your website, Martin. What is it about? They might be x64 only, I suspect.

I'm currently in XPx86 so I cannot test it. I'm using v2.0.13.

It's such a remarkable synth. :tu:

According to his Google site and Facebook and KVR pages, the latest version for both the 32- and 64-bit PC and Mac versions is 2.0.13, released July 12, 2016. You have the latest version.

The final v1.x version is 1.0.4, released June 18, 2017. There's just a .DLL file, with no designation as to 32- or 64-bit (though I believe it's 32-bit).

Gosh, now I remembered that 1.04 is the SynthEdit version. I got confused by file dates. It is actually much older than 2017. ;)

Has anyone noticed that in the latest Windows 64-bit version of PG-8X (v2.0.13), you can turn on portamento, and save the preset (and the project), but if you re-open the project or call the preset back up, portamento is still checked, but not working?

I've been able to reproduce this in the latest, 64-bit versions of Sonar Platinum, FLS 12 and Reason.

In Mulab, when I open the synth and click on the preset name in order to change it, Mulab crashes.

Can`t get it running on my Mac under High Sierra. Although I`ve put the VST-File into the right folder I think.
And the Standalone App is starting but gets no Midi signal - all Sounds are INIT-ones.

thanks for some good advice

Don't have the schematics handy here to verify but afair, Juno-106, JX-3P and JX-8P all had the same chorus circuit? Questioning because if they are not too far from the Juno-60 chorus, you can get that one from TAL;

Hornet also offers a chorus plugin that seems to emulate the old Roland chorus. Not sure about how authentic it is, though.

Our Chorus 60 is modelled after the schematic of a Juno60, using circuit simulation to understand the interaction between components.
