Logic AU automation quick access

Hi guys, i need your help!
How can i access AU automation like ableton vst.
Here is example:
I can't find this function in Logic, this is big deal breaker ;(

In Logic you need to write it down when track is playing (engage one of the write modes and move the desired knobs/faders and etc.), doesn't show up like that in stop mode unfortunately, not bigger deal than not having bezier curves really, but YMMV.

Yes, so far i click on "write" than play and move knobe.

You can edit automation envelopes in stop if you load them from the automatable params drop down menu.

Yeah, that is really quicker way (Live one), why on earth they didn't made it like that is beyond me, it's great.

unfortunately that is the only way to do quick automation in logic. It really is unfortunate because there isn't a write function on each plugin like cubase, you have to enable it on the track.

Not sure how you mean, but you can choose each plugin, whether stock or third party, via the pull-down menu when automation is enabled in the Arranger / Main Window.

Plus -- I'd recommend never using "Write." Instead, "Touch" or "Latch" modes are appropriate, or "Trim" or "Relative" if making edits to existing automation.

Write is an outdated mode that goes back to the days of Tape editing and is completely destructive / not reversible.

I actually use Track or Region automation, too, in lieu of Smart Controls for The Drummer and others with preconfigured windows. It's a personal preference -- I like more precise control and do each parameter individually. However, this approach involves more run-throughs, though the nature of the beast and I find focusing on too many at once is distracting.

Live's Macros, however, do simplify the process such that the control of multiple parameters simultaneously is more easily accomplished if this is your preferred style. It's just not as precise, but it is effective.
