I have problem with cubase running in rewire with reason under Window XP. If I'm in Reason's window SX won't play at the same time(release audiocard in background is not the problem). If I'm in SX window and I'll try to open Reason than SX won't play.
The same problem appears when I try to open my DSP-Patchmix ( EMU 1820m)if SX is playing. It seems to me that I can't use either of these windows at the same time.
If use my Patchmix with others like soundforge, acid4, adobe audition and Wavelab4 there are no problems.
Can anyone help? :help:

This is no help at all but, I am using the 1820 M and using the Patchmix does not stop Cubase on my setup....

I had a problem with running Reason via Rewire in Cubase SX. Then my dealer suggested to put my soundcard in another slot. That helped.

Uhhh... sounds almost like "I couldn't start my car, so I entered through the passenger side instead, and then I could start it." Odd...

Actually, I had similar thoughts when he told me this suggestions. But he also told me that the problem was quite common.

Anyway, it helped.

Actually it wasn't the retailer, but a guy from RME (the problem occured when I installed my new RME Pad-card in my pc).

I'd honestly like the real technical explanation of why that worked though. Any possible way you could get that? I'm sure you know how much of a tech geek I am on here. ;)
