Hey!
I've got some 808 samples in my Battery 4 plugin but I was wondering if it's worth trying another sample library for the 808s? What are your experiences and which samples would you guys recommend?

For free I can highly recommend this small but very good 808 samplepack Surachai uploaded a while ago.
For more free samples check out this list on BPB.
I have no idea about commercial sample packs, but I've heard good things about Wave Alchemy's Transistor Revolution MKII.

If you have Kontakt, get Wave Alchemy's Transistor Revolution. It will amaze you.
Pure samples, get something by Goldbaby.

Heavy Weight 808 from Sonic Playgrounds. Why? Because they modified the 808 with analog BD pitch and sustain controls and then sampled it. The sheer variety of the sounds, plus the analog pitch shifting sets it above and beyond typical 808 samples. Sounds way better than digitally pitch shifting a static 808 sample which is what 99% of producers are forced to do. Anyone who works with 808's knows they completely fall apart after transposing just a few semitones. But not these because all the pitch shifting was done in the analog domain beforehand.http://www.sonicplaygrounds.com/store/p ...
