The next installment of the LSS Solo Strings is the fantastic and hugely improved upon cello, with an amazing four mic positions, three legato types and even a choice of true release types...

The cello was sampled in the same London concert hall as the LSS violin with a fantastic musician who applied the perfect tasteful amount of musicality and emotion when recording for this library. The result is a largely human, breathing instrument.

Three legato modes were sampled - slurred, bowed and portamento. These are easily switchable during use via keyswitches, and one exceptionally useful feature, which we are shocked to say we rarely see in string libraries, is the ability to change bow on the same note. Simply hold the note you want to change bow on, and press the low G keyswitch.

Why are you listing your prices in US dollars? It's bad enough that I need to get mugged with post-Brexit exchange rates if I'm buying something in the US. But now, a British person buying from a (presumably) British company, would have to pay in a foreign currency at a very unfavourable exchange rate?

Hello Torchlight. We are going to be listing everything in dollars due to our shopping cart which is actually based in the US, and due to their systems, this is our reliable way of making sure everyone gets the same rates. Due to the fact that they are based in America, we do not have the option to list our prices in GBP, and have the exchange to other currencies adjust accordingly.

Being primarily a London based company - although many people who work with and for us are all over the world, not to mention we record in various different countries - of course we consider our prices in GBP, and our prices are also very low and competitive for the products on offer - particularly this one and the rest of its set (not all released yet).

Does this one supersede the earlier Cellist? ie not as an upgrade, but a new and better instrument

Hi Woggle,

Yes, this cello replaces the earlier one and is completely out of its league in every way :)
