Just finished this one, took alot longer than I thought. I guess its sort of a groove-based song with an ethnic influence - it was inspired by a Koto sampleset I bought from wizoosounds...

Made 100% with Reason and sequenced in Tracktion. Besides the koto everything else is either free refills/wavs found on the net or from the Factory bank.

As an aside, I used an obscene amount of effects, routing schemes and mixers and couldn't peg my cpu meter past 50% (2ghz p4)

Anyway, watcha think?

Hey Floyd this is really polished - an easy, natural arrangement too. Similar territory to the Emerald Tablet tune i was just listening to, maybe.
The only thing that I can think of in terms of criticism is that the koto is a bit in your face. I would probably have it lower in the mix, maybe a little more diffused with some reverb or summat - but I'm splitting hairs here

I liked this. After listening to it a couple of times, it really grew on me.

Compositionally speaking, it's the type of music I would have on in the background rather than putting it on to listen to directly. But I suspect that's what it's designed to be.

Very smooth and relaxing...

I like this too.
Listened to it last night and several times this morning. nothing too heavy, good mix..and good to listen to while browsing threads.
sort of reminds me of being on the edge of a dream..

I may becoming an expert at 'edge of dream' songs, not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing

Glad you guys liked it - personally I thought I might have over-produced a bit, but maybe there is never too much of a good thing, right?
