I'm friends with Rick N. on FB, they are closed for the day and a pic was posted of their parking lot flooded badly today, yesterday he personally posted he was fine but things were a mess down there. Obviously best wishes go out to all dealing with these epic floodswoodsdenis wrote:Hope everyone there is safe and well.

It's been raining a lot in the midsection of the US too. We've had some flooding near and in the Chicagoland area recently and that's gone unreported for the most part. DeKalb, IL (my former stomping grounds at NIU) had a pretty massive flood late last week judging from the pictures I remember seeing. The rain has really picked up since Hurricane season started, before this we barely had any rain all summer.jsp1979 wrote:The floods have been way under-reported here in the U.S. media. I guess we need the 1,000th interview with Michael Phelps instead.
The Olympics has took over the media so they're not going to report anything else that's not a police involved shooting.

I saw that yesterday
