Are there any midi synths/instruments that share some of the same presets between Cubasis and Cubase 8 so that once I import the Cubasis project into Cubase 8, I can have the same vst instrument to play the same or almost the same sounds?

I'm not sure if Cubasis handles .vst synths so it might be wise to just use the synths that came in Cubasis.
What I would do is use Cubasis when I'm out to just get my ideas down. save the project, then when I get home, take the tracks I liked and
save them as .midi files. each track. NOT as .wav. Then you can continue working in whatever version you have. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help since I only have Cubase and not Cubasis because it's iPad only.

No worries Deefex. I appreciate the fact that you tried to help.
I will just sketch out loose ideas using mainly sounds I wouldn't need to spend alot of time trying to duplicate later. I use Cubase as my main daw. I bought Cubasis only those are times when I'm on a trip or something to escape boredom and be able to jot down those "if only I had something to take this down" ideas. Thanks.

No VST's in Cubasis (or all of iOS for that matter).

You CAN fly the audio tracks over via Dropbox, etc. - but I don't think projects can be transferred (I doubt it)
Don't ask me, I just play here.

Thanks siriusbliss. I found a tutorial on how to export audio and midi from Cubasis to Cubase using a zip file which worked fine.

Also presets of Cubasis Micrologue can be loaded to Retrologue (Although I haven't tried it).

Cubasis supports audio units v3, which includes plugins on iOS. There are few available at the moment.
