Contest Rules:
1) kits should be small and quite specific: E.G. only cymbals kits, only toms, only scratches , only congas and bongs, only kicks and snares, etc...
Anyway full drums set kits are welcome too.
Any submitted kit must be:
1a) at least 8 instruments each kit
1b) max 4 velocity layers per instrument
( min 1 or 2 layers, kits with at least 2 layers per pad are better)
1c) max 3 MB per kit, uncompressed files
2) samples must be in WAV format (any rate or bits you wish, mono or stereo) packed as RAR or Zip archive and uploaded somewhere, if you don't have a web space ask me for a free FTP space.
3) velocity layers must be indicated in file name : E.G. snare_100.wav , snare_127.wav
(so the minimum kit is made of 8 different Wav files , not layers of the same sound)
Links to download the kits should be sent to nusofting@liqihsynth.com before 10/10/2004
You can submit as many kits you like,
the max prize for any winner is
4 X 50% discount bonus.
You may submit LM-4 presets along with the samples,
as NUSofting "Drum Sampler" can import them. That would make easier for us to test the kit.
All samples submitted must be copyright clean or a production of the submitter.
Decision made by NUSofting concerning "usefulness" of the submitted kits is not syndicable.
We like a lot of different sounds so we are very open to any submission as long it's interesting.
Approved kits will be automatically and freely licensed to NUSofting for exclusive distribution
within the "Drum Sampler" VSTi software.

Sample precise synchronization.
Can export and import drum banks in its own format or as FXB.
Can import LM-4 drum banks (with some limitations).
Supports 8, 16, 20 and 24 bit and 32 bit floating point wave files.
the engine and the control interface is ready though,
thanks to the collaboration of NUSofting with an italian sofware engineer,
the same who made the core code of Mother Ship Astrobelt.
So currently we are working on the graphics and the drum kits
for the release, which should be about October of this year.
Like the other NUSofting plugins, this is not a fancy synth overloaded with features,
but a fast and easy tool, with max audio quality available in VST.
The factory kits would be mostly oriented to the vintage beat boxes
and some glitchy kits, but it will be very easy to make your own
with any sample set.
NUSofting Drum Sampler features 24 drum pads,
four mute groups (also known as exclusion groups),
cross velocity layers and much more...
It loads wave files "on the fly", and requires no external editor.
No matter if you are working with high sample rates (88 or 96kHz): it will resample automatically the sound samples!
NUSofting Drum Sampler offers 3 stereo output bus, and each bus features an analog-sounding hard-knee compressor.
Unlike other VSTi drum machines, it offers a smart polyphony engine, so you can decide which sounds are important and which can be truncated when it runs "out of voices". Using the preferences panel you can set the polyphony up to 127 voices!
NUSofting Drum Sampler uses very little CPU time while providing the best sound quality, thanks to the (VST standard) external 32 bit sound bus and performing internally all the calculations at a resolution of 64 bit.
