I'm using FL Studio 4.5.1 and I'd like route midi data in FL to my Yamaha DX7 synthesizer.
The equipment used is:
P4 3.2 Ghz computer
FL Studio 4.5.1
Midisport 2x2 USB Midi interface
Yamaha DX7
Routing scheme is as follows:
FL Studio -> Midisport 2x2 (Output A) -> Yamaha DX7
Under FL Studio's Midi options I have assigned the midisport output A to a FL Studio port number and also specified the same port number in the "Midi Out" generator but I am not getting and midi data coming out of my midisport output A. The problem is definitely with FL studio as all my other devices work properly in other setups. No port number I select in FL studio successfully passes midi data to the midisport interface.
I had this setup working properly only old computer using my old soundcard's generic midi controller. Could it be the pairing of the midisport and fruityloops? Any thoughts? this is really really really starting to bug me.
FL Studio question: mapping to midi output ports

You have the latest MIDISport driver? I actually have that interface as well, but not on the same machine running FL Studio though.
Sounds right what you're doing. Is the light blinking on teh MIDISport saying it's receiving information at all on the Out A? Least we'd know it's getting part of the way there.

Options Midi Out Enabled checked? In F10, is the MIDI Output A actually set to a Port Number? And, I'm assuming you have the MIDI Output generator selected, and it too has the port selected? Once I did all of that, I can now trigger my Roland Fantom no problem.

Devon,
Thanks! As it turns out I didn't have "enable MIDI out" checked under the options menu. Everything is working perfectly now. Thanks again.
