Binary string 11001101 pattern recongnition

Ok guys I have written some basic software to simply a wave which has synchronous and a-synchronous inputs. The a-synchronous inputs I believe are synchronous, however I cannot detect this.

Ok so basically my software turns my input into a series of binary numbers ie 11000101000101010001010000000101110101001010101010101 as so on. Would I would do to is run a series of pattern recognition techniques to determine whether ANY pattern exists within the string and therefore whether I can extrapolate what the continue string will be, or some elements.

The output may be that I know
11000101000101010001010000000101110101001010101010101xxxxxxxx11xxxxx01xxxxxxxx00

ie the xxxxx means that we are not sure what the binary code is here HOWEVER we can tell that there is a 11 and then later on a 01 etc.
