I just purchased sampletank2XL. How do I get the hi hats to work properly? If I hit a high hat open ... and then hit a hi hat closed ... the hi hat open keeps ringing. Or - am I just not hitting the right combination of midi-notes?

I did try creating a full new copy of a drum kit with a poly of 1. That sort of worked (then I have to work with 2 drum kits) - but doesn't seem like an elegant solution.

Find the foot sample which closes the open hi hat. Sometimes that is on G# (if it is more along the lines of the typical general midi map) and if it is one of the I-Map Kits then it is on F. In case it is one of the I-Map kits, there are a few types of open hats. Ones that stop when you hit the foot and ones that intentionally ring out (like John Bonham style). The A# is the one that is stopped with the F foot and the B is the one that rings out. There are sometimes some extra hats at the bottom of the map that just ring out for left/right hand variance.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. It was the IMAP that I was having trouble with- and sho'nuff - F does it.
