How do you manage your audio plugins, software, hardware and other stuff?

I'm fairly new to music creation and production and have found it a chore to manage the stuff I buy, probably too much like many people here

I'm also a sofware developer and am considering creating a site/service where people could manage/track their stuff with the ability to search (for example, that ____ reverb plugin is on sale -- do I have it? What reverbs do I already have?), the ability to create wishlists and the ability to create reports (like by company or plugin type, etc)

But before I embark on this, I was wondering...

What do you currently do?
Would this be a useful service?
What other features would you want to see?
