The Mountain Dulcimer is a folk instrument with its origins in Appalachia, an area in the United States spanning the central and southern section of the Appalachian Mountains.  It is a beautiful and incredibly versatile instrument which goes by many other names, such as the plucked dulcimer, fretted dulcimer, lap dulcimer, and mountain zither, to name a few.  This virtual instrument is the first release in Embertone’s upcoming Whiskey Series, which is focused primarily on instruments borne of Appalachia.

Three features make this instrument extremely fun and easy to use:  STRUMMER/ARP mode features plenty of pre-made strumming patterns,  NATURAL mode is ideal for gorgeous drone playing, and SMART mode allows this genius instrument to expertly choose strings for you.  The scripting goes incredibly deep, giving you complex control if desired.  Otherwise, this instrument is designed to sound great without a whole lotta fuss.
