Yes it should but in my opinion lot of thinks need to be updated before EXS24 UI.
For example, improvement of the automation editing with drag & drop support, transform tool, shape tools as in Studio one.
Logic in far behing S1 in this area and it's a pity to use Logic automation for heavy editing, if you ever tried to draw a square shape automation in the hyper editor view, good luck !!!

I hate the flat design fad. If EXS24 ever gets re-designed, it better not be flattened.

You don't draw a square shape, you just set points.dupont wrote:if you ever tried to draw a square shape automation in the hyper editor view, good luck !!!

The originals are much easier to look at.

Hey, how did you create that lane in the step editor for the EXS24 Filter Cutoff? Can't, for the life of me, get that one to work. Wish it were as simple as: "create new lane based on GUI control" > wiggle a GUI control and bam, lane created. Would also make region based automation so much quicker.

If I might step in, all you do is ensure the instrument or effect is on the track or AUX Bus in question, and all the parameters, including The EXS24 Filter Cutoff, appear in the list waiting to be chosen and automated. It's really that simple.LFO8 wrote:ValliSoftware wrote:You don't draw a square shape, you just set points.

You must use the pull down menu, and it's easy though I believe you also could assign to a Smart Control.
Sounds like the space is ripe for an automation primer! Track Automation is my preference and it is very simple once you get the hang. Region Automation is essentially the same as Track in mechanism.

Yeah, I know... I'm really sick of the destruction of design. Some of the new stuff looks great, and then they followed it up with the flat shit in later updates. Apple has utterly lost its way with design.waltercruz wrote:if it follow the tendency of the updated logic plugins and Alchemy, it will be flattened.Jace-BeOS wrote:I hate the flat design fad. OK I know that but I want to be abble to draw a square straight on the piano roll and don't want to assign a new lane on the hypereditor.ValliSoftware wrote:You don't draw a square shape, you just set points.dupont wrote:if you ever tried to draw a square shape automation in the hyper editor view, good luck !!!

Thank you for your reply, but what you are talking about is the automation view in the arranger. I'm talking about how to get a parameter to show up in the step editor (the third panel in the piano roll view).
