Hi

This is a thread to gather information on where to find or on how to change the pitch bend range for certain plugins. Some of them have "hiden" this value cleverly. I stumble upon this "problem" occasionally...

... so I start with it... I'm just too stupid to find the pitch bend range for the Arturia Matrix-12 V

Hope someone can help me out...

edit: it is there on page 37.

Found that too. But it doesn't describe how to change the range. This page is just for turning on and off the pitchbend on the VCOs.

BTW I'm using Matrix-12 V2. But it seems the manual doesn't reveal the secret for both.

Press on the MOD button, pg53.
Assign pitchbend to pitch for whatever oscillators you are using.
Adjust knob to change to desired pitch.

Yup, tried that one. But it's hard to get an exact amount to hit an octave or any other note.

So there is no value like "pitch bend" = "12 semitones"?

btw...if it isn't noted in the manual of version2, then it is not a feature of the synth, and judging what I read online, this is the case.
Using the modulation routing is the only alternative I can think of.

Try putting another synth instance next to it and having them both playing (recording or monitoring on) at the same time, but with the other synth setting the pitchbend to 0 zero. So long as you have a synth that can set pitch to zero.
Then use that synth as a way to set the pitch bend within the matrix modulation slots.
It will help you to do it by ear.

Yeah, a good work around. Thanks.

I wished there was an easy way :(

And here I am 3 years later trying to do the exact same thing: change the pitchbend range.

Gave up! :hihi:

I hate it... crossed that PITA again just two weeks ago. Gave up, again... I think it's time to freeking write the support :D

Using an initialized patch I noticed if I use one mod matrix slot (Lever 2 and VCO1 freq) and set it to the maximum it doesn't go up far enough to be a full octave. But if I use another mod slot and duplicate the source and target (Lever 2 and VCO1 freq ..again) except I set the amount to 148 on the 2nd slot in the mod matrix, then it seems work.

Then you can duplicate that again in the MOD area for VCO2 if you're using both oscs in a patch, which most people probably are doing. It uses 4 mod slots up though, so it's kinda crazy to do it that way.

Thank you for this tip! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to get a full octave PR range then I found your post.

No problem. :)
It should be easier to set that up though.

That's the problem when you copy the quirkier aspects of a synth - that's how you set any pitchbend above +/- 2 semitones with the actual hardware.
