For some reason I thought it was Mr. Burns from The Simpsons. Then I was thinking, hang on a second, Mr. Burns is a cartoon character.
Well Pete had one great song and a lot of terrible surgery (imho).

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I can think of at least three great songs. Although it isn't entirely clear to me what role he played in their creation, vs. SAW. At any rate, this is another sad loss for a terrible year.Aloysius wrote:For some reason I thought it was Mr. Burns from The Simpsons. i want to be your toy
any passionately humanist software developer could have caught those lyrics .. most people thought it was about something else eh.
ever try a silver bullet in your ear before
course, his voice could rip your head off so it'd be hangin out the side of his mouth. very handled.

Sad. I still remember going into Probe Records for the first time when I was a lad and being completely overawed by him standing behind the till. Always larger than life.

Whilst he wasn't in the league of a Prince, Bowie etc his "peak" did have an influence on me musically and did give me flashbacks to playing Lover Come Back to me, and of course You Spin me, trying to break down what made those songs just so infectious and hooking into your brain. To go at 57 just too early, even with all the interesting choices he made, including 300+ cosmetic surgeries along the journey..

Yeah you could not miss him in Probe Records. Not been to Beatport...probably not the same experience to be hadresynthesis wrote:Sad. I still remember going into Probe Records for the first time when I was a lad and being completely overawed by him standing behind the till. Always larger than life.
2016 the year of the dead. Perhaps this year I became mortal.
