Hi,
I'm looking for something that I can use live (i.e. it must be graphically simple and easy) to play some backing tracks I've made up. All I want is the ability to play a handful of wav tracks, giving me control over the level of each track. If possible, some BASIC master EQ and master reverb would be good too (perhaps using plugins ?). Any ideas anyone ?
(In more detail: I'm using Tracktion to create simple backing tracks to play live with. Usually less than 5 instruments total - drums, bass, keyboard etc - each created as a separate wav file. Given the variation in acoustics at different venues, I'm looking for the ability to be able to, for example, lift the drums, do some basic EQ and chuck a little reverb in). I currently have Cubase, Tracktion and Cool Edit Pro :- Cubase is way too complex graphically to use on a small laptop screen in a live environment, Tracktion doesn't have a mixer per se and Cool Edit Pro is almost there, but you can't resize the faders to make them more visible (plus the mixer is a bit slow to react).)
Any suggestions would be very gratefully received...
Cheers,
Aneng.
