I am a bladerunner fanatic and have most libraries inspired by it
BUT: the main titles demo leaves much to be desired IMO
(the brass is not close, many elements missing) and the overall soundset does not
invoke much of blade runner's unique sonic signature.
Is it because of Diva's weaknesses or the sound design missed the target?

Huh , I thought I got pretty close to the brass lead sound from the Main Titles track . I wasnt trying to slavishly recreate the entire Main Titles track .
The original lead sounds a little more 'raspy' perhaps , and a little duller , further back in the mix , the reverb is more sumptous , but I think I got fairly close to the original .
Can you point me in the direction of some other libraries inspired by it , I'd love to check them out . Im a Blade Runner junkie myself .

Unlike you two, I wouldn't call myself a fanatic but I do like Bladerunner and have also bought previous synth libraries (for Kontakt) such as http://www.unearthedsampling.com/esper-synth
For me (and I would argue 95% of other people), this Director's Cut library for Diva sounds close enough to other Bladerunner inspired sounds.
I'll let you 'true fans' argue it out with each other ad nauseum though.
More to the point, I bought Director's Cut for the quality and depth of its sounds. I'm not looking to recreate Bladerunner per se.
I'm just looking to use deep spacey sounds for my ambient productions, and this soundset fulfills that requirement perfectly.
So well done brick on yet another wonderful soundset.

with bladerunner aficionados.
Except for the esper kontakt library mentioned by another poster,
I would say that the user community of memory moon me80
has been producing excellent patches and whole pieces that capture the
vibe/texture of BR very well. For example:

https://soundcloud.com/rylo-3/the-city- ... laderunner
https://soundcloud.com/rylo-3/la-skyline-2019-read
In the commercial soundsets realm Luftrum has both diva
and omnisphere libraries that do a superb job at emulating iconic
bladerunner and other vangelis patches. Ambient 2 for omni 2 in particular is
very impressive.
The sound designer that IMO did the best job ever (other than those working for
Vangelis directly of course) is Edgar Rothermich who published a full-out recreation of the soundtrack
(and also re-released a remastered version last year). I asked him and he told me that he used omnisphere
for the synth parts. Unfortunately he never released the patches commercially.

Cheers Dark water !
Thanks for posting those Memorymoon demos cfanyc , interesting to hear those patches .
The mood of those Memorymoon demos is certainly more in keeping with the original than the demos I've made . Really like the LA 2019 track . I havent tried ME80 before , definitely sounds like it has a more lo-fi character than Diva , which suits the sounds really well .
But they do sound a little flat and lacking in nuance to me , the imaging and majesty of the originals arent even close (for me) . In terms of mood they certainly get there , but I think that is because the composition is much closer than mine .
Im definitely inspired to try and get closer to those sounds but the 'Director's Cut' patches are as good as I can make with Diva . Maybe Xils-Lab would have a go at the CS-80.....

more fantastic work here!
I hope that the BR comparisons don't miss the larger picture of the entirety of the set: there are MANY non-BR-esque sounds that beg to be played in this set. It really does draw you in.
again- brilliant work, brick

Thanks blortbort !
You're right , BR isnt the only inspiration for this one . It was the most influential , but there's a bunch of sounds that are inspired by a load of other 80s sci-fi movies and other films too .

"Discount available to anyone who purchased the ‘Introspective’ or ‘Art Of Sound’ sound sets."
I own both of these fine sound sets.
What do I need to do to get the discount on Directors Cut?
