I've got a Kaoss 2, and Cubase 5.1 and have been using both for sonic mayhem for a while.

But in a session yesterday we actually tried to use some of the rhythm parts from the Kaoss 2. With Cubase running at 130 bpm and the Kaoss also set to 130bpm it was clear that within about 5 bars the timings were drifting.

We tested it at slower bpms and even after a long while the two timings appeared to stay tight.

I'm inclined to assume the Kaoss is drifting and not Cubase as I had that playing back a 1 bar loop and I'd hope I'd notice clipping or pitch differences.

Has anyone else had issues like this?

I'd expect timing to drift on an old drum machine but not on a new toy.

Have you got the Kaoss Pad set to sync to midi clock, or are you just setting both to run at your chosen bpm?

I've got a KP2 and never had problems syncing it to midi clock.

I have to confess I've just been setting the two to their respective BPMs and not using Midi sync.

This I shall do though and hopefully it'll come good.

Cheers.
