Hey guys! I've decided to start making videos going over free sample libraries, VSTis, and plugins and showing what's possible with them. I'm starting off by looking at Orchestral sample libraries, since they're popular and generally very expensive.
If you guys know of other cool free libraries that need some love and attention, let me know!

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and tricks for making VSCO2 sound good.
I haven't really messed with the modwheel / CC1 as the volume control. Here is my attempt at the strings. I think I got it right...

I should note that I did some editing and normalizing from the original VSCO2 that is in SFZ format. Whether I made it better or worse is open for debate. You might try the SFZ orchestra and see if you prefer that version.
I'm glad that you are going to feature the Alpine instruments. I've chatted a touch with the gentlemen who does those and he is a great guy.
Even though it is older, the Sonatina orchestra still sounds impressive for as light as it is. The gentlemen who did that is also an awesome guy and he really worked with the orchestra to make it quite coherent for being taken from so many different sources.
