I've been using USAMO for a while and it works great giving near perfect (as good as midi can give at least) timing. However, recording midi also shows error magnitudes similar to non-USAMO playback. Has Expert Sleepers thought about trying to implement something to allow similarly accurate recording of real time MIDI data? Or is this even possible as an add-on?

Yes, it's certainly been considered. Just never risen to the top of the r&d queue.

Hope it does get worked on. If you measure the errors from recording alone they are at least as bad as the playback errors introduced by a given hardware/software setup (which can be considerable already). Anyone that records real time midi performances would certainly consider such an add-on device.
