Mainstage 3 plugins - what are these?

Hey,

I got dozen of superb plugins avaiable through Mainstage 3, I got Garageband X and when I save patch in MS3 it works just fine, including those plugins which are not available in other applications as VST/AU plugins.

What are these? Not VST/AU plugins obviously. Is there any chance to use them in Garageband or other hosts? A bridge?

If not, could I automate export of all individual plugin presets into patch files which are then available in Garageband? I do not want to switch to Mainstage 3 everytime I want to browse for a synth patch...

I could buy Logic X I know, but it is a bit overkill for me.
