along time ago i downloadet a standaone max application for mangling samples,i cant remember the name or where i got it from

in the application you could load different vst effects,and you could load folders full of samples that would be processed.

i know this is a wague description but hope someone here might know what application it was

platform? lot of standalone max stuff is mac-only, some windows-only.

think it was available both on mac and win,im running Win 7 and i have used it in win 7,but due to a harddrive crash i have lost it,and it was a free application

Nope; he said it was free. Also that it did batch-processing of files, which I think rules out Resonate too.

Sonic Birth
sonic texturized
Sniffer
sound chopper
sound grain
soundhack
SPEAR
supercollider
etc

none of them are made with max/msp

could you maybe try reading the OP?

been through the cycling projects archieve,searching through the sound design etc categories unfortunatly without much luck.

think i might have got it from a link posted on the dogsonacid forum some years ago,will try to have a search if i can remember my account

Hmmm, getting nowhere myself, sorry.

Found something called 'sapling' but it doesnt quite fit (mac only, no VST or batchprocessing).

And sirenaudio do some stuff but its commercial.
