I've been an FL Studio for years and have it on iOS as well. I started playing guitar a few years ago and want to add it to my songs. I also have midi guitar on my iPad for controlling VSTs. What is the best way to sketch out ideas? I am used to just clicking around and really want to play and record loops and build around them.
Any tips on how to do this in FLS? I have an amp and enough cables for recording. Thanks!

Practice daily. Don't just fiddle around. Set Goals don't just open your software because you're bored. Learn songs. Play them well enough that you could perform them well in public. Believe in yourself.

I'm on Ableton. My finally discovered workflow actually is to play loops and build around them, but Ableton was designed with this purpose in mind from very beginning. Also, I make club music which is loop-based.
How it works: build loops and one shots until you have enough material for full track. Once it's done, create whole arrangement in one go. It works and it's fast. Always move forward, never look behind.

Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I have not used audio clips much so I was not sure how to incorporate it into what I know in FLS. I guess I just have to try it out and see how it works. I guess I just want jam with parts I have and take the best stuff out of that.
