Is there not one standalone frequency/spectrum analyzer for Windows?

I've tried Flux (http://www.fluxhome.com/products/analyz ... s_spectrum), but I don't dig the design. To me, there's too much going on without a whole lot of control. For example, you can't really adjust the parameters of the oscilloscope. The setup windows (to me) are clunky, unclear and sometimes baffling (the last could just very well be my understanding of the tools). Not to mention the price tag.

I'd also like to work with something outside of the DAW from time to time. Am I missing something, or is this just not "a thing"? I may end up going the hardware route with the Mordax Data (http://www.mordax.net/products/data), but then the costs start to add up because I'll need a case, power supply module and the Data itself.

Is anybody using software analyzers that work in and outside of their DAW?
