i don't know if it still currently a major issue for some as it was by the past (does Falcon has that peculiar feature ?), nevertheless :

Didn't tx16wx have this, since 2011?
Prestissimo in Moto Perpetuo

Woah first sampler to actually SAMPLE (Besides tx16wx & directwave). That's good news. Does it support drag and drop from/to cubase arranger directly into/from sample window?

From Cubase to HALion, yes, from HALion to Cubase, no.

I've noticed with Halion 5 and Uvi Falcon there is no drag n drop support from Studio Ones browser or arranger. I doubt Halion 6 changes this. In Cubase Halion has always supported drag n drop from the arranger,or mediabay.
Presonus or UVI need to really address this! Same thing goes with the Mpc software which doesn't support drag n drop from Presonus Studio Ones browser.

These issues need to be addressed! Anyone beta testing Halion 6, that can say whether or not Studio One and Halion 6 work with Studio Ones browser via drag n drop?

Bitwig seems like the only daw, I'm having success with the Mpc +UVI + Kontakt for drag n drop!

Never really got the obsession with software samplers which actually sample. Isn't that something you better do in the DAW you use the sampler in anyway?

In this cas eit's pretty cool because you can instruments quickly. The video shows that there are setting for automatically capturing different notes directly to the zones. I think that would be a pretty easy way to create sampled instruments and not have to worry about naming and loading them in after recording.

It's all about the workflow.

When you are working on a project and want to resample or sample your realtime tweaking the last thing you want to do is solo the track, disable automation, arm the sampler track, etc. Too much hassle and breaks the creative flow.

With Edison I just hit record, play a 'plunk' and instantly drag and drop it to my arranger window :D

From Cubase to HALion, yes, from HALion to Cubase, no.
 that's a no-go for me. I'll stick with Edison then.

in a short glance, i didn't saw if Halion 6 can record sidechain tracks or instruments, or it's own phrases in themselves on the fly though, that last feature was implemented in early neinties into the Roland S660 (or S600 ?) expansion unit as far

Yes it says in the sampling video that you can sidechain to sample from another track.

Anyone know how to use this sampling feature to sample a vsti while using studio one? I don't see a sidechain option like the manual describes and I''m fairly new to studio one. How do I set the output of the vsti in the input of halion in studio one?

Unfortunately it does not seem to be possible in Studio One since there is no option to route audio to a VST instrument. But I guess that SO is the exception since Cubase, Logic, Live, etc can do this.
