I wanted to open a new thread related to Synpase Audio The Legend that is not limited to a specific kind of sounds like in my thread for the Synth Brass patches (that i had closed now) and where i and other members could post their free patches and audio demos.

FWIW the Synth Brass patches and links/downloads for this are still part of this thread.

The latest update (13.02.2017) includes 15 new Bass patches and 5 new Lead patches.
This collection also includes the Synth Brass collection and the 6 Solina patches posted here earlier.
Several new patches including some of the new Leead patches use the new Bandpass filter modes and most patches in the collection do use the aftertouch support.
For the the 6 Solina patches it is recomemnded to use an Enesemble effect and maybe also a Phaser.

UPDATE (14.02.2017):
I just sorted the patches a bit and here is a download with 87 patches of the full collection that are not part of the factory content of The Legend (including v1.10) so far:

One of the patches uses the Unison mode and the other 47 the polyphonic mode. Most patches also have the aftertouch feature activated (added in The Legend v1.10) for either the Cutoff or the Mod amount. Glide/Portamento works with the poly mode too and there are some patches that use this feature.

Audio Demos using patches from The Legend:

1.) A demo about using polyphonic Unison with help of the Polymind M4L MIDI plugin:

The Unison Brass patch (called "Fat Uni Brass 2 IW")s included in my Synth Brass Colection posted here.
Polyimind is a free Max For Live plugin (only usable in Ableton Live with Max For Live).

2.) A layer of a Synth Brass patch and Choir/Vox like sound:

IW - The Legend - Brass + Choir Layer Demo 01

The Synth Brass patch called "Legend-ary Brass IW" is included with the new v1.10 update and my free Synth Brass collection posted here.
The choir like sound was created using two Bandpass filtered Pulse Oscs combined with an Ensemble effect in ValhallaÜberMod. The ensemble was inspired/recreated from my Waldorf Streichfett String synth and the ÜberMod preset is available here (the first one):

Both layers/instances were the routed into an audio track with the Lexicon MPX Native Reverb. no other effects (built-in or external) were used and the built-in Reverb of the Synth Brass presets was deactivated.
In some parts of the audio demo also the aftertouch feature (added in The Legend v1.10) was used with both instances.

3.) A Choir/Vox like sound created from using a BPF patch route into another BPF in the Legend FX plugin:

For this demo two 12dB BP filters in series using an instance of the Legend FX plugin after the synth plugin was used. As external FXs an Ensemble FX in ValhallaÜbermod and the Lexicon MXR Native Reverb wre added (like in the previous demo above).

4.) Recreation of a Solina Viola patch using additional effects like an Ensemble FX from ValhallaÜbermod, the ArtsAcoutsic Big Rock Phaser (= Small Stone emulation) and the Lexicon MPX Native Reverb.

Arturia Solina V2 is used for comparison (with the same FXs added):

Another demo with the same Solina like sound in The Legend layered with the "BP Vox" patch that was already included in my patches collection (same Ensemble and Reverb FX used for the BP Vox as for the other patch):

Here I share with you guys 36 random, unnamed sounds. I am by no means an expert, so it's just pure experimentation until I come up with something that sounds nice to me, or in some cases attempts at recreations of patches from other plugins. I hope you like some of them

I have just collected 102 patches i made for The Legend so far, excluding the 107 that are included in the Classic collection in the factory content that were based on a Minimoog patch book (so all together i created 209 so far).

To most of the 102 patches i added aftertouch support (+ velocity to a few) where this was not already done. Those patches also include the Synth Brass collection which is close to the half of those patches and the Bandpass patches. Around 43 of those are included in the factory content now but the majority of those were not updated with aftertouch and/or velocity support yet (will send updates of those to Richard soon).

If you alraedy used my Synthbrass collection or the small Bandpass patches collcetion you might replace those with this collection as this should be the latest version of the patches.

I had just played with Arturia Solina V2, especially the Viola preset/waveform, and had the idea to recreate the raw sound in The Legend.
With using an oscilloscope FX on the Solina V2 it was quite obvious that this is a bandpass filtered Sawtooth waveform (not possible to create with a Lowpass) while for the Solina this knowledge does not seem to be really new.

After creating a comparable Viola patch in The Legend i added an Ensemble FX from ValhallaÜbermod, the ArtsAcoutsic Big Rock Phaser (= Small Stone emulation) and the Lexicon MPX Native Reverb to both.

Here are audio demos of both Solina V2 and The Legend with the Viola waveform and the FXs mentioned above:

The Ensemble used in ValhallaÜbermod is a sligthly modified factory preset. I used the "DualSolina" factory preset and increased "VibRate" to 8.48 Hz and "VibDepth" to 24.8%.
I had also posted 2 Ensemble presets recreated from my Waldorf Streichfett String synth here:

It is recommended to use with with at least an Ensemble FX.

In those patches vibrato or Cutoff modulation could be added with Aftertouch and/or the Modwheel.

I just updated my last post and added a ZIP file with 6 Solina inspired/based patches there and at the OP of this thread.

The differnces betwen the "Viola" and "Violin" and same for the "Contrabass" and "Cello" seem to be just in the octaves. I was not able to properly recreate the "Trumpet" and "Horn" yet.
