Wow, that is quite a nice treat for Omnisphere 2 users, made by da man himself Big Ericjamesbernard wrote:Keyscape Creative is a FREE cutting-edge collection of over 1200 Omnisphere 2 patches specially designed for users who also have Keyscape. -- Available now!

But it is only for Omni 2 users that own Keyscape, I understand?
I was rather meh about Keyscape when that was released, thinking another "sample tank" like rompler plug.
But this link up with Omnisphere really adds a huge amount of possibilites to it.

I do not have any Spectrasonic product but somehow it is comparable to UVI where you could implement their smple based instruemets/libraries within the synth engine of UVI Falcon.Numanoid wrote: But this link up with Omnisphere really adds a huge amount of possibilites to it.
For example I got the VI Labs Ravenscroft 275 acoustic piano that is not by UVI but uses the ÚVI Workstation format and i could use this within Falcon where you could use it as a layer or do more advanced stuff like adding filters, effects, etc. to it.

It's not exactly like that actually. The concept of sound sources is different in Omnisphere than a sampled instrument layer in Kontakt or falcon for example. While in these latter ones you can load the instrument and do lots more with the Kontakt or falcon interface, you can not swap a full sound source as easily as an oscillator and keep all existing modulations on that source. Yo couldn't just replace a saw oscillator in a synth patch in falcon with a multisampled grand piano for example at the push of a button and leave the settings of the source, but in Omnisphere you can. So it's much easier to just insert a totally different instrument as easily as an oscillator.Ingonator wrote:I do not have any Spectrasonic product but somehow it is comparable to UVI where you could implement their smple based instruemets/libraries within the synth engine of UVI Falcon.Numanoid wrote: But this link up with Omnisphere really adds a huge amount of possibilites to it.

Keyscape is so much better in terms of deeply sampled stuff than any similar sample tank content. You can´t compare that really!Numanoid wrote:Wow, that is quite a nice treat for Omnisphere 2 users, made by da man himself Big Ericjamesbernard wrote:Keyscape Creative is a FREE cutting-edge collection of over 1200 Omnisphere 2 patches specially designed for users who also have Keyscape. -- Available now!

Of course it`s also a matter of taste but those Keycape instruments are awesome and combined with Omnisphere 2 even much much more.
Falcon can do even more (but Omnisphere can also do some things Falcon can´t) and there are a few outstanding libraries from UVI or third party for it but the complete package of Omnisphere 2 and Keyscape is the best value i can think of yet for what i can get out of it.
1200 awesome patches for free. These would cost a grand somewhere...
As already said, still depends of personal workflow and likings etc.
But i also love to have such a huge high quality amount of sound sources i never could make myself to design sounds within one great synth.
For me there is nothing out there like Omnisphere 2 + Keyscape (and maybe the other Spectrasonics instruments) to get all this in one package without having to buy tons of third party libraries for a sampler and mangle it trough a synth engine like Falcon.
Also i never had any trouble with any Spectrasonics product and if there was something the support was there to solve it fast.
There are really not so much developers out there i would trust like i trust Spectrasonics.
.....and now bring on Stylus RMX 2 please!
On top on this Omnisphere 2 is still my favourite performer. There is nothing better for layered stuff for live recording/playing. Also still rare that it lets me crossfade between the 8 parts via modwheel or other midi cc message. It´s really easy to use, great high quality sounds, much content and it´s made for sound designers and live players as well.
