The action "join midi notes" (J) also joins notes on the same line which are NOT adjacent.

In this example sections A and C are joined to one note.

So, I'm looking for an (custom?) action to join only adjacent notes.
In the example I wanna have 3 notes after joining.

J resepcts the current selection - so drag select the notes you want to join and hit J
