I'm all the time needing this. Does anyone know of a plugin that will take MIDI note data and show it diplayed on a graphic guitar fretboard?
also wondering if there is a plugin that would pitch detect audio and do the same.
thanks,
Greg K.

You could try this midi plugin, http://www.thepiz.org/plugins/?p=midiChords It displays notes in either keyboard format or guitar.

Thank you! Unfortunately, the fretboard doesn't work correctly. Only displays one note at a time.

You're welcome.
Whoops, I see you've edited your post. I did a little more digging and I found a free VSTI that has a fretboard display called Visual Jazz Guitar. It's a little different in the fact that it uses LED simulations on the fretboard. I downloaded it myself and it's clean. No nasties.

Another free VSTI plugin which also has a very nice acoustic sound is the free Ample Sound acoustic guitar plugin which has a regular fretboard.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you so much! I think the Amplesound plugin might work. Going to give it a try and post back. I'm on OSX so Visual Jazz Guitar doesn't work for me.Kenmac wrote:You're welcome.Whoops, I see you've edited your post.
