Ventus Ethnic Winds - Bansuri. Available NOW!

We are pleased to announce the release of the third volume in our Ventus Ethnic Winds series of beautiful solo woodwinds - the Bansuri!

A key instrument in North Indian and Hindustani classical music, the bansuri has a beautiful pure and breathy tone and is often played with extensive ornamentation. We recorded over 4,000 samples and 330 phrases to capture its full nuance and range of expression.

The bansuri is sometimes referred to as the 'divine instrument' and after recording, editing, scripting and performing it, now more than ever we see why it might have earned that title!

Wow... you totally knocked it out the park with this one.

It sounds very realistic judging by the video and demos. Things have certainly moved on a lot since the Bansuri in RA was released.

Bansuri is quite different to orchestral woodwind in the way that it doesn't stick to conventional western scale, but instead constantly glides in between notes, uses lots of vibrato and other ornaments, and I thought this would be really difficult to capture in a sample library but you've done a stellar job here.

I guess my only issue is that $99 is a fair amount of money for an instrument I might just use once or twice.

Sounds amazing indeed. Ventus is slowly becoming an essential collection, with first that wonderful Shakuhachi, then a great Tin Whistle, and now this beautiful Bansuri.

Thank you for the kind words! If you are willing to wait, we do periodically run sales - maybe 6-12 months from now. We are also eventually planning a Ventus bundle. Of course existing Ventus owners get cross grades on new releases too.

Damnit, I was through buying stuff!
At least there was a 10% off from a month ago. Had to have this, I was in an India frame of mind as it was, in a big way. Bansuri is tops, for me.

Do you know Rishab Prasanna's work?
